My friend and I would like some help with his bricked Wii.
I've tried several methods to restore his Wii but to no effect.

your best bet is to send it to nintendo. Call them, they will give you an email of your order, its free, and i sent mine in last week and it still hasn’t came back but it’ll come soon.

I tried SaveMii Free, it didn’t work and I heard that SaveMii doesn’t work on these kinds of bricks. The Wii doesn’t even send out a video signal unless I have my BootMiiSD inserted.

You need to try SaveMii, its a chip that plugs into the gamecube memory slot.
It helps with black screen bricks.
Search SaveMii on google for more info on it
