can i just format the hard drive through usb loader? i was thinking of getting hard drive later and use flash drive i have around the house(for now) and save the games onto the hard drive later.

It seemed to have worked when I put my HDD into the Wii whilst running GX USB loader, I just need to work out how to put games on my HDD with the mac, as you’re aware, mac doesn’t read NTFS formatted drives

You don’t need to format it to wbfs, just format it to ntfs and then create a folder called wbfs, then just put the wbfs into there.
