anyone know if this game is only going to be Wii-EXclusive? because this is the only rpg game that actually looks good. Final fantasy died for me after the two best developers left to make there own company…. (this game is the best looking game they made so far imo)
this is the new FInal fantasy..would love to pick it up for PS3 but everywhere i read about it i see it’s only out for Wii :/.
The game will be a huge success if it comes out for ps3+Xbox360 as well.

@CronoDyne
Love Lost Odyssey. It’s one of my favorite JRPGs to date. While I greatly enjoy turn-based battle systems, I’m not about to pass up on TLS simply because of the battle system. Sakaguchi games have always been incredible in terms of music, characters, stories, and themes. He has a talent for evoking emotions in his games. We all know he can make turn-based ones so I’m curious about this one. Hopefully it doesn’t mean he’ll never make another turn-based game.

@HyperSonicSquall all of those suck balls compared to xenoblade, which i´m playing currently. last story and pandoras tower on the other hand…i´ll have to wait a few months to play them ^^

This game looks so unique and GOOD! The battle system looks really fun, dodging in and out of cover, using long range and short range weapons. Speaking of weapons, THEY LOOK AWESOME! It would be a damn shame if this and Xenoblade don’t make it to America! American Wii owners/JRPG fans who have been supporting nintendo for as many years as me deserve to finally get an edgy hardcore rpg for the wii. LOOK UP OPERATION RAINFALL!!!

God damn. Mistwalker, our one last hope for traditional turnbased RPGs, has fallen into the “it needs moar ACTSHUN!!” mindset. We loved Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.. WHY do we have to get yet ANOTHER action RPG? It’d be nice to play a new RPG with a turnbased battle system some day, one that isn’t a port/remake of an old title or part of the horribly niche titles that come out of Compile Heart and Idea Factory.

Mistwalker game huh, i kinda lost respect for them for Canceling “Cry On”, i was looking forward for it.

im from the U.S and even though it pains me to say so please don’t hate me for saying this but operation rainfall will fail im sorry but there is no way that Nintendo will ever bring this game to the U.S im so sorry but its true man i have no choice sorry wii but it looks like i got to soft mod you now so i can download the pal version
August 30th, 2011 - 07:29
Support Operation Rainfall if you want to actually play this game in the U.S.
August 30th, 2011 - 08:16
THE LAST STORY XENOBLADE, PANDORA’S TOWER
August 30th, 2011 - 08:28
@YukiNagato3 “real” gamers actually play what they want to play as long as it’s fun, hence the entire POINT of a game
August 30th, 2011 - 09:20
@jeanfmur whats generic about it?
August 30th, 2011 - 09:30
@HyperSonicSquall it is coming to us..
August 30th, 2011 - 09:41
As sad as I am to see this not being released in the US, I’ll live. I already have some decent jrpgs on the wii.
Like Phantom Brave, Fragile Dreams, that one Crystal Chronicles game, Fire Emblem, and Sakura Wars; mother fucking Sakura Wars!
Besides if I’d want it that badly, I’ll just softmod my Wii and import the Pal release

@mellkor
>Sakaguchi sold his soul to microsoft
so.. the last 2 blue dragon games on the DS were my imagination?
August 30th, 2011 - 10:55
XPLODE360 = FPS and Gears of FAIL.
SONY and NINTENDO = JRPG’s
It’s unfortunate that Hironobu Sakaguchi has sold his soul to Microsoft.

@justmedawg
Trade you? You can have Kirby. I’ll take The Last Story.

@jeanfmur
This game, like all games, carry some cliches that have been there and done with before but I don’t really see anything “generic” about the battle system. It seems rather complex and tactical as there appears to be several elements involved. Even if the game is completely “generic” as you put it, I don’t see what the problem is. Seems to me like you’re confusing the word “generic” with the word “sucks”. Likewise, “innovation” isn’t always equivalent to “awesome”.
