   is it neccessary to get all seven chaos emeralds? i usually avoid those stages cuz i thought they were really annoying could someone tell me the purpose of the stages?

   I hate how tails screws you over in this game you need 60 rings you’ll have 57 and tails has 5 and he gets hit now you only have 57 rings you lose the chaos emerald ugh fucking tails

    I only have one quarrel with this vid. I dont think it was done on a genesis/GC/PS2/XBOX. Most likely a computer. The computer is just….different

    The special stages in Sonic 2 are definetly one of my least favorite special stages, although the Sonic Heroes’ special stages are fucking shit, mashing the X button on my controller to try and catch a chaos emerald…. Definetly not my idea of something “special”. Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are my favorite, because they were out of luck finding them

    I am impressed! I’ve been playing this since I was seven or eight (mid-90s), and I didn’t get all of them until a couple of years ago haha. And I’ve never gotten all seven in Emerald Hill. The earliest I ever have is Chemical Plant, usually it’s Aquatic Ruin. My inner eight year old and current 24 year old me applaud you! =) And I totally agree about Tails. I’m convinced he’s just playing for Robotnik. That’s the only way to excuse his apparent desire to kill Sonic.

    @flame6753 i just finally got the last emerald even with tails holding me back..he is a burden..but not only is the psn version of this game laggy as all hell i guess i cannot go super sonic…i did not get the trophy for getting the emeralds either…pretty angry

    @knives242 Tails is a huge burden in the special stages, but he actually keeps you alive longer on normal stages, so he’s half win/half lose.
